- Character Translations

PROIV supports the following logic commands that return character translations of data:

Logic Command	Description
ASCII	Returns the ASCII equivalent character of an EBCDIC character.
CHAR	Returns the character of a numeric value, depending on the character set of the system.
EBCDIC	Returns the EBCDIC equivalent character of an ASCII character.
ORD	Returns the ordinal value of an alphanumeric character.
