Directory Browser

Once the Directory Browser is active, you may open a previously downloaded function for design and editing.  This is only available when the Forms Designer is off-line (not connected to a dictionary).

Double-click on a function’s name in the Directory List.  Functions are identified by the extension ‘BPS’ (Business Process Specification).

Although a BPS language file is an ASCII text file, you should not edit it directly since syntax errors can be introduced into the function’s source code.

BPS files are saved on the local machine whenever a function is downloaded from a dictionary and subsequently disconnected and saved.  A BPS file contains a function’s visual parts list.

To search for a function, click on the Function Browser Search .  The Function Browser retrieves the items associated with the active tab and displays the Canvas.

Double-click on one or more of the function names to display the function on the Canvas.
