The Align Menu command allows you to align a group of selected controls according to four different positions: left, right, top and bottom.  The left position is the default.

Selected controls align themselves to the current position of the last selected control within the selection group. The same behaviour is followed for the other positions.  If an alignment request violates the area restrictions of an object, it causes a fault and the alignment does not occur.

The following actions cause the alignment operation to be ignored:

  • Moving a paging control outside the paging area.

  • Moving an embedded control within a paging control outside the paging control boundary.

To align a set of controls, select the controls individually or perform a marquee select.  Click right mouse and choose left, right, top or bottom.
