654     INVALID TYPE FOR THE GLOBAL FUNCTION PARAMETER VARIABLE - name

Cause:             An EXTERNAL variable defined in the Global Function parameter list needs its TYPE to be defined in the parameter list definition.  This message appears if the type for the EXTERNAL variable is invalid.

Action:            Correct the type to one of the following:

A -       Alphanumeric
N -       Numeric
W -      Wide
L -        Long
