![]() Use of CCNs in PROIV Developer |

When a CCN (Change Control Number) is returned in a stub, followed by the opening of an object, that object displays the CCN in its window title bar. The exception to this are functions, where the CCN displays in a special box below the toolbar.
If a CCN is returned, it is logged against history and the History tab in PROIV Developer Admin displays the CCN and is driven by CCN.
The WIP tab in PROIV Developer Admin also displays any CCNs that have been returned against the booked-out objects.
Areas of PROIV Developer that use complex object selection (e.g. Export, Bulk Build, Work List, List Maintenance) allow selection of objects via selection of CCNs. All objects that have been maintained against selected CCN references are added to the list.
This means that operations like Exports can be performed based on given change controls. Usually the CCN list is an interim stage in producing the object list, but for Export the CCN list is made part of the export file.
The list of CCNs is shown in the Export Report, and in the Import screen.
If an item is deleted from the Export List after CCNs were used to generate it, then all CCN references are deleted, since they could be misleading. Extra items can be added, however, while keeping the CCN list.
