You access this tool by clicking on the Session Settings icon in the General Tools tab of the Tools tab.

This tool allows you to maintain various system settings that apply to that session only. These settings are lost when the session logs off, and do not affect any other sessions.

Date Format - Set to:

  • US format (MM/DD/YYYY) – the default setting

  • European format (DD/MM/YYYY)

  • Japanese format (YYYY-MM-DD)

This can also be set system wide in the System Defaults tool in Administration Tools.

Any date formats not available through this tool can be obtained by the use of logic.

Numeric Format - Set to:

  • 9,999.99 – the default setting

  • 9.999,99

Any numeric formats not available through this tool can be obtained by the use of logic.

Set Forced Help On - In PROIV screens, field level help can always be obtained by entering ‘?’ into the field. If this option is ticked, then the help will be automatically displayed.

Set Report-To-Screen Paging On - This controls how PROIV reports behave when sent to a character-based terminal. Either the full report will be sent, or it will be sent one page at a time if this option is ticked.
