Once you have selected and opened a function PROIV Developer presents six different views of the current function:

Structure View - This provides you with an overall picture of the structure of the complete function: cycles, fields, File Accessors, etc. These are shown in the form a tree with expand and contract capabilities enabling rapid understanding and navigation of a function.

Dynamics View - This view shows all the objects that have a dynamic effect on the PROIV timing cycle.

Statics View - This view shows you all static objects in your function, such as static text and s on a screen or headings on a report. Note that this view is not available for Update functions.

Events View - This shows you all permissible event points for each object in your function and indicates which points are currently used to call logic.

File View - This view gives you details of all File Accessors in your function with their access modes and read/return objects. Note that this view is not available for Menu functions.

Linkage view - This view provides you with an analysis of all functions calling or called by your current function. The view displays the state of the linked functions and allows you to open any of the linked functions.

The above views all have the Toggle icons which enable you to toggle between the History, Summary or Object Properties Grids.

In addition to these six views there are two special tabs:

The Tools Tab - This tab provides you with a collection of PROIV Developer tools that are available to all users, not just Administrators.

System - This tab provides options to display Comms Variables, System Information, Link Functions

The PROIV Developer Toolbar is always available, in any view, to provide immediate access to PROIV Developer features. When editing a function, the toolbar allows you, for example, to execute another function, then return to PROIV Developer with the same function and view presented.
