Assigning a Terminal Type

This is used for character based terminal connections to PROIV. The GUI Client ignores the settings. If used, it allows the terminal type and Company/Division code to be set up against specific connections. This makes it easy for different users to have different types of terminal while connecting to the same PROIV system.

To assign a terminal type to a terminal , follow these steps:

  1. Select Admin from the Developer menu.

  2. On the Project Administration screen, select the Tools tab.

  3. Select the Terminal Assignment icon from the Utilities section.

  4. The Terminal Assignment Definitions window displays.

  5. Click Add . The Terminal Properties window displays.

  6. Click OK to save the assignment and to close the window.

  7. Click OK to close the Terminal Assignment Definitions window.
