This section describes the procedure for adding, deleting or amending a Web Proxy to enable access to external RSS feeds.

To add, change or delete a Web Proxy, follow these steps:

  1. Click New Task Selection Icon icon. The Menu screen appears.

  2. Select the Aurora Configuration option.

  3. Select the Maintain Web Proxies option.

  4. The Maintain Web Proxies screen appears.

  5. Click either the New or Delete s or click the drop-down arrow next to the Proxy Name field:

  • The New enables you to add a new Web Proxy.

  • Click drop-down arrow next to the Proxy Name field to display a list of Web Proxies and select the one that you want to amend.

  • The Delete enables you to delete an existing Web Proxy, click drop-down arrow next to the Proxy Name field to display a list of Web Proxies and select the one that you want to delete. A user message appears checking that you want to delete the Web Proxy, click either the Yes or No .

  1. Depending on the screen mode that you have selected, complete the fields using the following table as a guide.

Proxy Name

Enter an identifier for the Web Proxy.

A50 – Mandatory

Description

Enter a full description of the Web Proxy.

A250 – Non-Mandatory

Host

Enter the host details of the Web Proxy.

A250 – Non-Mandatory

Port

Enter the port number the proxy server is listening on.

N5 – Mandatory

User

Enter the user name if the proxy server requires authentication.

A50 – Non-Mandatory

Password

Enter the password if the proxy server requires authentication.

A50 – Non-Mandatory

Realm

Enter the realm details if the Web Proxy requires it as part of the authentication.

Buttons

 

Exit

Click the Exit to close the Maintain Web Proxies screen.

Save

Click the Save to save the changes to the Web Proxies.

Cancel

Click the Cancel to cancel any changes to the Web Proxies.

New

Click the New to add a new Web Proxy.

Delete

Click the Delete to delete the selected Web Proxy.

  1. Click Save to save the details, or click the Cancel to cancel any changes.

  2. Click Exit to exit the Maintain Web Proxies screen.

Note: If the Aurora Security and Menu option is not used, then this screen can be run directly from the PROIV Prompt or from a 3rd party menu by executing the @AU_Maintain_WebProxies function.
