Web Service Architecture

PROIV web services run in an application server to provide an interface for external applications.

This diagram shows how the web services provide the interface. Note the following:

A web service will accept connections from multiple applications.
A web service can use more than one connector.
A PROIV connector uses a gateway to access a PROIV application.
A Java connector accesses Java classes only on the web services application server.
