To open a folder, select File>Open Folder. The dialog that appears will depend on the server you are working within.

Standard Operating System Folder

If the selected server obtains its files from the operating system, or there is no selected server, the standard operating system folder dialog will open.

You can use this dialog to select the folder you want to open. This can either be a local folder or a folder you can access via standard Windows networking.

If the network folder you wish to open is not available, please ensure your network is configured correctly or see your systems administrator.

You can also drag one or more folders from a Windows Explorer and drop them anywhere onto PROIV Web Developer except the address bar or browser. Dropping a folder on the address bar will populate the address bar with the static address of the folder. Dropping the folder in the browser will move or copy the folder if the browser is viewing a folder, or will browse the folder if not.

Application Server Folder

If the selected server accesses its files and folders remotely through a Active Web Application Server, you will see the dialog to your left.

This behaves in a similar way to the standard operating system folder dialog, but the folders you can select are constrained to those visible to the application server.

Folders opened within the application server and their contents are read only. That is you cannot save them back to the same location.
