Opening a File

The simplest way to get started with PROIV Web Developer is to open an existing file. Select File>Open File from the PROIV Web Developer menu bar. This will open the standard file dialog where you can select the file you want to open.

When the file dialog opens, all supported file types associated with PROIV Web Developer will be displayed. You can select a new filter from the Files of Type drop down list.

Alternatively, you can right click one or more supported files within Windows Explorer and select Open With PROIV Web Developer. This will open the files, launching PROIV Web Developer if required.

This feature requires that PROIV Web Developer was installed by a user with Administrator privileges within Window 2000 or Windows NT4.

You can also drag one or more files from a Windows explorer and drop them anywhere onto PROIV Web Developer except the address bar or browser. Dropping a file on the address bar will populate the address bar with the static address of the file. Dropping the file in the browser will move or copy the file if the browser is viewing a folder, or will browse the file statically if not.
