Creating an LDAP User to PROIV User Mapping

You can map LDAP user names to PROIV users to automate the logon process after LDAP authentication. If there are multiple PROIV users associated with an LDAP user name, a selection window appears and you can select the relevant PROIV user that you want to use for the logon. If there are one to one mappings, you can enable the Automatic Logon if the Mapping is Unique flag on the LDAP tab on the User-Defined Logon Configuration window, and the selection window is not displayed and the logon occurs automatically.

To create a mapping between an LDAP user and a PROIV User, follow these steps:

  1. Select Admin from the Developer menu.

  2. On the Project Administration window, select the Tools tab.

  3. Select the User-Defined Logon icon from the Utilities section.

  4. The User-Defined Logon Configuration window appears.

  5. Click Mappings tab.

  6. Click Add.

  7. The Add a new LDAP to PROIV user mapping window appears.

  8. Enter the LDAP user name in LDAP Username field.

  9. Select the appropriate Company and Division from the Co/Div drop-down list.

  10. Select the appropriate User ID from the PROIV User ID drop-down list.

  11. Click OK to save the mapping details. If the mapping has been created already, a message appears warning of the duplication and you are returned to the window. If you want to exit the window without saving the details, click Cancel.

Note: You can also use this window to modify or delete existing mappings.
