CONFIGURING CACHE VARIABLES |
Virtual Machine |
To Configure Cache Variables:
To
set the runtime cache environment variables, open Control Panel and
click Environment.
The Environment page appears.
Configure the Runtime Caching environment variables as required.
Note: GENFILE & FUNCTDEF cache records are interlinked. It is recommended to set the variables to the same caching model. |
The cache size limit for each of the caches is controlled by the following environment variables. Each variable has a default cache size, however you can modify in the PROIV Control Panel.
GENFILE_RUNTIME_CACHE_SIZE, default value = 500
FUNCTION_RUNTIME_CACHE_SIZE, default value = 500
MSGF_RUNTIME_CACHE_SIZE, default value = 1000
VARDEF_RUNTIME_CACHE_SIZE, default value = 200
SECURITY_RUNTIME_CACHE_SIZE, default value = 200
Note: The unit is always measured as one record entry for each of the runtime file types. The minimum value for cache size for all file types is 10 and the maximum value is 20000. |
