Open Client Compatibility Mode

The PROIV Client uses a fixed-width font. This means that each character takes up the same space on the screen, and enables you to position every character in strings on a PROIV screen. The Open Client default style sheet uses a proportional font as this is the default for web pages. A proportional font has variable widths for its characters, and this means that although a string on a PROIV screen starts at the correct place, the character positions depend on the width of preceding characters. The effect is that the text appears to move to the left.

To ameliorate this issue, Open Client includes an alternative style sheet that specifies a fixed-width font, so that the visual appearance mirrors the PROIV Client as close as possible.

To use this style sheet, add an entry of PROIVClient to the Resource Paths setting on the Open Client Service Settings screen. Click here to view an example screenshot of the Open Client Service Settings screen.
