|
Purpose |
ATTRIBUTE is used to change the display attributes of a field at run time. |
Syntax |
ATTRIBUTE (attributenumber) |
Operation |
attributenumber is the index related to the list of Attribute sets defined in the current palette. If the set is not defined, the default definition in the system default palette is used. |
Remarks |
ATTRIBUTE can be executed in the Field Display logic and is ignored elsewhere. There are 10 Attribute sets in each palette; hence the Attribute number must be in range 1-10. Four Attribute sets are used by the system; the other 6 are available for user definition. A run-time error message is generated if the number is out of range. The hierarchy of palette definition is Default, Terminal Type, specific Terminal ID. Attribute sets are loaded in that order, so if an Attribute set definition exists in an earlier definition, but not in a later one, the earlier one is used. An Attribute set must be defined for each palette that is used. If not defined for the current palette, no Attributes will be used. |
