A Global Logic may be defined and used as a Special Check.  To do this, enter the name of the Global Logic at the Standard Validation or Special Check event process point.

The Global Logic must be type P and must check $INPUT, !INPUT, or #INPUT.

If the value does not pass the defined check an error message must be displayed using the MSG procedure.

If an error message appears the system does not accept the value entered and allows for the  re-enter of data.

If an error message is not displayed the system accepts the value entered.
