Installing on multiple servers

The standard installation assumes that all your PROIV applications are installed on the same machine. It is quite easy to install the different PROIV servers on different machines. All that is required is to go through the installation process on each machine selecting the features that you want to install.

It is important to keep a record of all the features that you install, noting in each case, the network host name of the machine and the network port that is configured for the server. This information can then be used to configure the control panel so that all your PROIV application servers can be managed from one place.

If you are not installing the control panel then you will be asked for the control panel network host name and port so that your servers can be automatically configured in the control panel. If you have not yet installed a control panel then the servers can be added later.

You can have more than one instance of any of the PROIV servers either on different machines or on the same machine with different network port numbers.
