021     ENTRY IS TOO LONG . . . RE-ENTER

Cause:             Too many characters entered in the data field.  For alphanumeric fields, the maximum allowed length is defined in the maximum length parameter of the field definition.  For numeric fields, the display code field of the field definition is used to determine the maximum allowed characters.  Leading/trailing zeros are not used to determine entered length.

Action:            Re-enter data field within limits of field size.
