Setting up Autosizing |
Virtual Machine |
To set up Autosizing, follow these steps:
Start your web browser.
Put http://server:port/index.xsp in the address field substituting 'server:port' for your PROIV Control Panel server name and port number.
Click to the left of the PROIV Virtual Machine option in the menu pane.
Click to the left of Virtual Machine Settings option in the expanded menu.
Click Environment option. The PROIV Virtual Machine Configurator - Environment screen displays.
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and in the New Key Name field, enter 'STACKSIZE'.
Click Add Key . The key is added to the pro4v[n].ini file.
In the newly created STACKSIZE field, enter '8000'.
Note: STACKSIZE is measured in bytes and has no upper or lower limit. |
It has been found empirically that 8000 is more than adequate for most functions. However, since the requirements depend on what the function does at run time, it is important that the actual setting of STACKSIZE is tested before using the feature in a live environment. If you use functions that make deeply-nested use of LSCALL, CALL or Global Logics, the STACKSIZE setting may need to be increased.
