PROISAM File Utilities

The following utilities are PROISAM specific:

ischk - Verifies the internal structure of one or more PROISAM file(s) and, if necessary, reconstructs them. Determines the number of records in and whether or not there is corruption. Can also be used to report on the page allocation and load factor for a file.

ispack - Compacts one or more PROISAM file(s) and returns any unused disk space to the operating system for reallocation. Useful when space becomes a problem and many records have been deleted from large files.

iscollect - Called automatically by PROIV on Unix-based systems. Any other usage is for PROIV Technology’s personnel only.

issnap - For PROIV Technology’s internal use only.

isview - Displays the shared memory segment and semaphore identifiers for the version/revision of PROIV in use.
