Specifying Initialisation Attributes

The Initialisation tab on the Terminal Type Properties window enables you to set up the initialisation attributes for a terminal type.

To specify the initialisation attributes for a terminal type, follow these steps:

  1. Select Admin from the Developer menu.

  2. On the Project Administration screen, select the Tools tab.

  3. Select the Terminal Types icon from the Utilities section.

  4. The Terminal Type Characteristics Definition window displays.

  5. Select the relevant terminal type and either double-click, or click the Properties .

  6. The Terminal Type Properties window displays.

  7. Click Initialisation tab. Click here to see an example screenshot.

  8. Enter the relevant details.

  9. Click Exit to save the details and close the window.

Toggle Pad

For VTXXX type terminals that do not have separate Function Keys, enter the escape sequence of the key required to toggle the numeric keypad action between a numeric keypad and a function keypad.

Toggle Pad Set

For VTXXX type terminals that do not have separate Function Keys, enter the escape sequence required to switch the numeric keypad to act as a function keypad.  This sequence is sent by PROIV at the start of a PROIV session.

Toggle Pad Reset

For VTXXX type terminals that do not have separate Function Keys, enter the escape sequence required to switch the numeric keypad back to normal functioning.  This sequence is sent by PROIV at the end of a PROIV session.

CRT Initialisation Sequence

For terminals that are required to act in different modes depending on their usage, enter the escape sequence required to switch the terminal to ANSI mode as required by PROIV. PROIV sends this sequence at the start of a PROIV session.

CRT Exit Code Sequence

For terminals that are required to act in different modes depending on their usage, enter the escape sequence required to switch the terminal back to its native mode. PROIV sends this sequence at the end of a PROIV session.
