Default Object Open Mode

When installed or re-installed PROIV Developer will set the default open mode to ‘Edit’. This mode can be reset to either Look or Prompt via the Project Administration screen. The behavior of the three modes is:

Edit - The object is opened exactly as in earlier releases of PROIV Developer unless it is already open for edit in another session, booked out to another developer, or you do not have sufficient security to edit in which case a dialogue pops which will ask whether you wish to open the object in look mode.

Look - The object is opened but without any editing functionality available (fields are read only, various icons disabled etc). To make it more obvious that the object is open in LookMode, its name and title appear against a pale green background rather than the normal beige. Clicking on the name will re-open the object in EditMode subject to it not being locked, booked out and having edit security.

Prompt - Once selected, a dialogue pops asking whether the object is to be opened in EditMode of LookMode.
