Bulk Tag Rename

You access this tool by clicking on the Tag Rename icon in the List Based Tools tab of the Tools tab.

This tool allows you to retrofit tag naming standards for your functions. Select a function list and tag rename profile which are defined under Project Administration tools. You may also opt to automatically backup each function in the list before the rename profile is applied.

If no developer rename profiles have been defined then only the PROIV Developer default profile may be selected.

Every tagged object type that is included in the selected profile will be renamed. Consequently, on a large list of functions, or on large individual functions this may be a quite time consuming process. As with renaming individual tags in individual functions all references (including logic) are updated.

PROIV Developer booking out and in is applied to each function in the list by turn. This ensures that the function cannot be opened for edit while this tool is working on it.
