Assign OAES Properties |

To define and maintain OpenAjax Event Subscriptions properties, follow these steps:
Open the relevant function.
Click on the Function Definition Properties icon and click on the OAES tab.
Select the appropriate OpenAjax Event Subscription.
Click Properties .
The Properties for OpenAjax Event Subscription window displays.
Enter the name the OAES in the Name field.
Enter the description the OAES in the Description field.
Add one PROIV Action (Logic, Global Logic or a Function Key) against an OAES.
Configure the properties using the using the following table as a guide:

Enter the name of the OAES. Free text with a format of '.' (dot) separated strings e.g. myapplication.employee A200 - Mandatory - Alphanumeric and '.' are the only acceptable entries. |

Enter the description of the OAES. |
Event Handler |
All Event Subscriptions should have a PROIV Action associated with it, either Logic, Global Logic or a Function Key. If none are entered, a user message appears. |
Action Type |
Select the Action Type from the drop-down list. The selection determines which of the fields are enabled for input. |
Logic Id |
Enter a Logic ID between 001-999. Click the to display the Logic Editor or press F4. |
Global Logic |
Enter the Global Logic or click ... to open the Standard Validation Selection window to search for and locate the appropriate Global Logic. Global logic is reusable procedural code. |
Function Key |
Enter the Function Key details or click the to display the Function Key Maintenance window to create a Function Key. |

Data Mapping |
Click Data Mapping to display the OAES Data Mapping window. You can create the data mapping for the OAES on the window, configuring the parameters that are required for each Event Subscription. |
OK |
Click OK to save the details and close the Properties for OpenAjax Event Subscription window. |
