Exporting PROIV Assure Objects |
PROIV Assure |
Tests, Suites and their components can be imported and exported into different PROIV environments. The Import and Export functions are single-user operations, and can only be run if no other user is using the PROIV Assure Console. This is enforced by PROIV Assure.
Any Object Type can be exported (Suites, Tests, Recordings, Configuration Settings, Comparator Groups, Saved Rules, Run Connectors and Recording Connectors). When Suites and Tests are exported, their components are exported as well (which could include any of the above, except the Configuration Settings). The imported objects overwrite and replace objects of the same name and this is an automatic process. The file extension used for the Import/Export files is .vqz. The physical Recordings constitute part of the Export file.
To export a group of PROIV Assure Objects, follow these steps:
Click Admin Options icon on the PROIV Assure Toolbar. Alternatively, select the Admin option from the PROIV Assure Menu.

Click OK to close the Directory Listing window.
Enter a name for the Export file in the File field. This is a mandatory field and you cannot move through the window until you have entered a name for the Export file.
Select the relevant Object Type from the Object Type drop-down list. The Object Type selection determines what appears in the Object Name drop-down list.
Select the relevant PROIV Assure Object from the Object Name drop-down list. The Object Names can be filtered by selecting either Exact or Partial radio s from the Object Name section. Selecting Exact returns all objects exactly matching the entry. Selecting Partial displays all objects starting with your entry.
