Recordings, Suites, Tests, Recording Connectors, Run Connectors, Saved Rules and Comparator Groups can all be copied in PROIV Assure. To copy objects, you simply select an Object Type, select the object that you want to copy and enter a name for the copied object. If the target name already exists, the copy is prevented. If the Object Type is in the currently open view (e.g. the Tests view), then the view refreshes to display the new object.
When Recordings are copied, the physical file(s) making up the Recording are also copied. Any Difference Handling Rules set up against the Recording are not copied.
When a Suite is copied, the new Suite contains the same list of Tests as the original. The Test Results are not copied.
When a Test is copied, the new Test contains the same list of Recordings as the original. The Test Results are not copied.
To copy PROIV Assure Objects, follow these steps:
Click Admin Options 
icon on the PROIV Assure Toolbar. Alternatively, select the Admin option from the PROIV Assure Menu.
Select the Copy Options option. The Copy Options window appears.
Select the Object Type that you want to copy from the Copy Type drop-down list.
Select the PROIV Object that you want to copy from the Copy From drop-down list.
Enter the name for the new object in the Copy To field.
Click Copy to copy the selected object. If the name is already used, a warning message appears.
A user message appears if the Copy process is successful.
Click Cancel to exit the Copy Options window.
