Adding a Saved Rule

Saved Rules are saved Regular Expressions, which can be used during the Difference Handling process. You can enter standard PROIV criteria (for example, DATE4 and TIME) and generate the relevant RegEx, or if you are skilled at writing Regular Expressions, you can type them in directly. You can enter up to ten strings to test the Regular Expression. A green tick or red cross appears depending on whether they match both sides of the Regular Expression.

When the Saved Rules are selected in Difference Handling, only the valid ones, those that match both the expected (Recording) and actual value (Live Session) are displayed.

Saved Rules are dynamic, so if a Rule changes, the changed version is used in all Recordings that use the Saved Rule.
