File Verbs are Logic Verbs which perform file access operations.
There are two types of File Verbs:
Internal File Verbs access the internal files of PROIV. They function with the PROIV internal format (PROISAM) and SEQ / BIN data files.
External File Verbs access operating system files from within PROIV.
File access adheres to the following constraints:
File protection/concurrency issues are the responsibility of the underlying operating system.
All the file operation verbs are logged in system logs on all platforms, thereby providing an audit trail of when and who did what, to which file.
The string operations are supported on the following platforms:
Microsoft Windows 32-bit and 64-bit.
