Virtual Machine |
The Session menu allows the administrator to connect to or disconnect from the server (local or remote). You can also exit from the Session Manager by clicking Exit.
Connecting to PROIV Kernel using Session Manager
Click Session menu and then Click Connect Local or Connect Remote.
The following are the connection settings for the Session Manager:
Connect Local - Connects to a PROIV server in a local computer.
Connect Remote - Connects to a PROIV service located on a remote computer. Selecting Connect Remote displays the Connect To PROIV Kernel dialog box. Enter the computer name of the host for the connection.
There are two optional fields provided for both local and remote connections:
Service: Enter the name of the PROIV service to connect; if the service name is not specified then the default service name for the PROIV V11 Client VM will be used for both local and remote server.
Resolve Client IP: By default, the check box is selected which means it will resolve the ip address of all the connected clients to the PROIV server. A DNS lookup is executed so the host name is displayed in the Computer Name column on the User Information tab along with other details. In case the Resolve Client IP check box is not selected, the computer name appears as the Client Machine address. For more information, click User Information for Session Manager.
Disconnect - Disconnects from the host computer.
The following dialog boxes are displayed when the administrator selects to disconnect server.
