The Lite Client includes browser-based validation on PROIV Editbox and Combobox components. This validation changes the display of the component if the validation fails. The client does not access the server when doing this and the input data is not modified in any way.

Max Input Length

If the PROIV component has the ‘Input Length’ property set then the client will highLite the field in red if the user types in more input characters than that specified. An alert message is also displayed below the field.

This shows a field that has had too many input characters entered.

Must Input

If the PROIV component has the ‘Must Input’ property set true then the client will highlight the fields in red if the user clears the input field. An alert message is also displayed below the field.

This shows a ‘Must Input’ field that has been cleared.
