Security Settings

  

PROIV Client  

The Security option enables you to configure the security options required when starting the kernel.  

  1. Select the Security option.

  2. Amend the details in the appropriate fields.

Item

Description

User Name

Enter the user name required for a successful login. This setting is used for connections to Unix as it requires an initial telnet login sequence.

Password

Enter the password required for a successful login.

Prompt for Security

Check the box if you want a security promptsecurity promptto display during the login process to the host.

Security Prompt

Show Login

Check if want a login window displayed during the login process to the host.

Remember User Name and Password

Check if you want the user name and password remembered during the login process to the host.

Connection Security

Select one of the security connection options.

None: TCP/IP

The connection to the host is via TCP/IP. This is the default connection.

Use Secure Socket: SSL

Enforces a Secure Socket connection to the host.

Use Tunneling connection via Secure Shell:  SSH

Enforces a Secure Shell connection to the host.

  1. Click Apply to save the changes.

  2. Click OK to close the window.
