Client Configuration Maintenance |
PROIV Client |
Client configuration properties previously maintained via the registry editor application, can now be maintained via the PROIV Properties Customisation and PROIV Session Properties windows in the PROIV Client.
Default application properties are settings which apply to all of the PROIV sessions running on a host machine, and these settings are common to all users who run the application. Property names and values are stored in the registry using the HKEY_USERS/.DEFAULT/Software/Zellis/PROIV_v9_Client key.
Note: Default Properties are stored in the registry. |

You can override the default application properties by user. Radio s on the PROIV Properties Customisation window enable you to set the properties for the current user or for all users.
The Property names and values are stored in the registry using the HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Zellis/PROIV_v9_Client key. Values are written into this registry key only when you click the Apply after you have made changes.
When you click on the Restore Defaults , all of the properties for the current user are reset to the default application values, and any values in the current user registry are removed.
Session application properties are PROIV settings that are associated with the current session, and they are stored in the current session's PIV file. They take precedence over the default application properties and any current user application properties.
Note: Session Properties are stored in the PIV file. |
Click herehere to see an example screenshot of the PROIV Session Properties window.
When you click on the Restore Defaults, all of the properties in the current PROIV Session Properties window are reverted to the values found in the current PIV, or to the registry values if no PIV exists. If changes have been made to any of the PIV settings after the PIV file was loaded, then you are prompted to verify that you want to proceed with the restore process.
