Logging on to PROIV using LDAP User-Defined Logon |
Virtual Machine |
To log on using the User-Defined Logon with LDAP authentication, follow these steps:
Ensure the LDAP User-Defined Logon is enabled. Refer to Enabling the User-Defined Logon for more information.
Log on to PROIV.
The LDAP User-Defined Logon window appears.
Enter the appropriate LDAP user name in the LDAP Username field.
Enter the appropriate LDAP password in the LDAP Password field.
If there are multiple PROIV Co/Div and User IDs mapped to an LDAP user name, a Select the PROIV User window appears at logon enabling you to choose the correct logon details. If mappings are one to one, you can select the Automatic Logon if the Mapping is Unique check box on the LDAP tab on the User-Defined Logon Configuration window to hide the selection window and to enable automatic logon.
Click OK to authenticate with the LDAP server based on the configured authentication type, perform the mapping of an LDAP user name to PROIV user and log on to PROIV. The LDAP password is validated depending on the authentication type selected. The PROIV password associated with the PROIV user is also validated if the Enable PROIV Password Validation check box is enabled on the User-Defined Logon Configuration window. If the authentication fails, an error message appears and you are returned to the LDAP User-Defined Logon window.
