Defining User Function Keys

The User Fn. Keys tab on the Terminal Type Properties window enables you to enter code for keyboard keys that have significance for an application. For a full list of Function Keys values, click here.

To define User Function Keys, follow these steps:

  1. Select Admin from the Developer menu.

  2. On the Project Administration screen, select the Tools tab.

  3. Select the Terminal Types icon from the Utilities section.
    The
    Terminal Type Characteristics Definition window appears.

  4. Select the relevant terminal type and either double-click, or click the Properties .

  5. The Terminal Type Properties window displays.

  6. Click User Fn. Keys tab. Click herehere to see an example screenshot.

  7. Enter the relevant command sequence and keycap legend details in the appropriate fields.

  8. Click Exit to save the details and close the window.

Key Sequence

Enter the command sequence to define each Function Key (FKEY1 through FKEY10).

Key Legend

Enter the Keycap legend for the LS sensitive Function Key (FKEY1 through FKEY10).
