Health checks monitor the connectivity between the servers as well as the performance of your application. E-mail alerts can be configured to notify users when a health check fails.
To enable health check:
On the Dashboard page, click Configuration
tab and then click Settings.
The Settings page appears with default settings.
Ensure
that the Enable Health Checks
slider is turned ON.
The Health Check for all the components is enabled; next time you open
the Health Checks Dashboard
page, the health check analysis is displayed.
Alert e-mail ConfigurationAlert e-mail Configuration
Alert messages are notifications that are sent to a specific e-mail address on a recurring basis. These are for informational purposes or when specific action occurs. You can configure alert e-mails for the critical events triggered by failed health checks.
After a health check has been enabled, any failures are recorded and displayed in the table in the Alert view. Alerts are generated by a timer job that also formats the alert e-mail using an alert template, and then sends that e-mail out to the user.
Note: If you have not configured any alerts; you will not receive an e-mail.
To set an alert, do the following:
On the Dashboard page, click Configuration
tab and then click Settings.
The Settings page appears with default values.
If you want
an e-mail to be sent when the alert is triggered, click Enable
Email Notifications and set the configuration as described
in the following table.
This action sends an e-mail with the details of the alert to one or
more recipients.
