General Tab

Company

/Division Name

Street Address

Enter the address of the default company.

Town or City

Enter the town or city of the default company.

County, State or Province

Enter the county, state, province of the default company.

Postal/Zip Code

Enter the post code or zip code of the default company.

Country

Enter the country of the default company.

Available Languages

Click to display the Available Languages window. Choose the language codes that the application can be run in. Please note that currently PROIV Aurora is not multilingual. The Multilingual functionality affects applications run via the PROIV Client if the Lexicon is enabled and translations are set up

Email Tab

The tab enables you to set up email defaults including the port number and name of the email server.

Administrator ID

Specifies the user that receives Security Violation email.  Ensure that the selected Operator has an email address set up in the Operators screen.

Sender ID

Enter the name that appears as the email sender.

Port Number

Enter the port number of the email server. It defaults to 25.

SMTP Authentication

 (Only Enter if E-Mail Server requires it)

User

Enter the SMTP username if the email server requires SMTP authentication.

Password

Enter the SMTP password if the email server requires SMTP authentication.

Edit Email Templates

Click to display the Email Template window. Click drop-down list in the Subject field to select an existing email header, the email body is automatically populated in the Body field. You can change the text if required. Click Save to select the email template.

The system currently supports an email template for Access Violation. An email is sent automatically when an Operator tries to access a Menu Option they are not allowed to use.  The emails are sent to the System Administrator, this is the Operator selected in the Administrator ID field on the General tab. They are sent to the Operator’s primary email address.

Template Tab

This tab enables you to select the Operator Template that is used to copy the settings from when creating new Operators. The default template is @AUDEFAULT. The Operator's security categories for files, functions and Global logics are copied from the template and determine whether they can run functions or update files etc. The security categories can be maintained in PROIV Developer.

Company

/Division

Enter the template company division that new Operators belong to. The security settings relating to the Operator and Co/Div are copied to the template.

Operator

Enter the Operator ID Template details, which is used when creating a new Operator to provide the Function and File Security categories that are required by the application.

Security

Click the drop-down list to select a Security Template, which determines the security level of passwords. You can set up and amend Security Templates via the Security Templates menu option.

Default Logon Retries

The number of retries an Operator has to enter their password.

Default

Group (SYS)

Sets the Operator Group for the SYS Operator.  The Security Menu Framework permits the standard SYS Operator to access to the system through the PROIV Client and run @AUMENU directly from the command prompt.  The SYS Operator is intended for development and support use only and should not be defined on the Operators screen. The default Group is used to control what the SYS Operator can access. All options on the menu structure associated with this Group are enabled because this is a Super User login.

Appearance Tab

This tab enables you to define the appearance of menus and also various security maintenance screens when running applications via the PROIV Client. The screen enables you set the fonts and colours to use on objects such as the OK and Cancels, which is useful if the appearance needs changing for different colour scheme.  

Title Image

Enter the name of the icon that appears at the top of the menu.

Menu Title

An optional message that appears over the top of the menu banner.

Menu Numbers

Click the check box to automatically number the menu items.

Object

/Colour/Font

Use the drop-down lists and … s to set the colour and font of menu and screen objects.

Bold?

Click the relevant check boxes to embolden objects.

Tab Boxes

Button Box

Configure the appearance of tabs on PROIV Aurora screens, for example, the tabs on the System Defaults screen. You can also configure the appearance of s, for example, the OK and Cancel s on Security screens.

Banner

Enables you to enter a character banner for the green screen/terminal version of the Logon function.

Functions Tab

The tab enables you to configure Logon and Logoff function defaults, timeout periods and the Graphical and Character Menu Drivers.

The tab enables you to set up defaults for Rollback Interrupt, and Timeout functions. You can also set up the System Administrator on this tab.

Application

Interrupt Function

Defaults to @AU0400U1 (or @AU_RETURN). This is the function that is executed when CTRL BREAK is pressed. This only applies to Operators that have the CTRL BREAK enabled.

Rollback Function

Defaults to @AU0400U1 (or @AU_RETURN). This is the function that is executed if a rollback occurs.

Close Function

When running functions using the PROIV Aurora Framework, the Close function is executed when a function or Function Route is completed and its tab closes, and also when you click on the browser’s Close .  

When running via the PROIV Client, this function is called when you log out of the menu system.

Defaults to @AULOGOFF which logs the user out of the system

Timeout Function

Defaults to @AULOGOFF, which logs the user out of the system

Timeout Period

Set the number of minutes before a user at the Menu screen is timed out, 0 indicates no timeout.

Option Launch Function

Windows Client and Character Mode

Logon Link Function

Defaults to @AULOGONU, which automatically links to the GUI or Character version of the Menu Driver.

Logon Timeout Period

The number of minutes before a user who is waiting at the Logon screen is timed out. 0 indicates no time out.

Graphical Menu Driver

Defaults to @AUMENU which is the default GUI Menu Driver. This is used when you connect to the Framework using the PROIV Client.

Character Menu Driver

Defaults to @AUMENUG which is the default Character Menu Driver. This is used when you connect to the Framework using a terminal connection.

Logoff Function

This applies to the Off that appears when connecting using the PROIV Client. It defaults to @AURELOG which logs off the user then re-directs the system to the Logon function.

Co/Divs Tab

This tab enables you to create multiple company/division codes (Co/Divs) which provide access to discrete datasets by using URLs containing the Co/Div information. See the Multiple Co/Divs section for more information.

Multi-Company Co/Div

Enter the Co/Div that has the ability to move between multiple companies via the Co/Div drop-down list

Co/Div

Displays the Co/Div code

Description

Displays the Co/Div description.

Default As

Displays the default Co/Div.

Buttons

The on the toolbar are disabled or enabled depending on whether a change has occurred. For example, if you amend a System Default, the Save and Cancel s are then enabled.

Exit

Click the Exit to close the screen.

Save

Click the Save to save the System Defaults.

Cancel

Click the Cancel to cancel any changes to the System Defaults.
