Maintain Menu Option Passwords

This section describes the procedures for adding passwords to Menus, PROIV Functions or transactions options. This adds a further level of security granularity, ensuring that users only have access to particular items.

To add a password to a Menu Option, follow these steps:

  1. Click New Task Selection Icon icon. The Menu screen appears.

  2. Select the Security Menus option.

  3. Select the Maintain Menu Option Passwords option.

  4. The Maintain Menu Option Passwords window appears.

  5. Click New if you want to create a new password for a Menu.

  6. The Add a New Menu Option Password screen appears.

  7. Select the appropriate Menu Option and enter the password to restrict access to the item. Use the following table as a guide.

Option Type

Select the Option Type.

These include:

Function is a PROIV Function.

Menu is a Menu Option.

Route is a path set up for navigation around functions.

Option Name

Select the name of the Menu Option.

Password

Enter the password to restrict access to the Menu Option.

  1. Select a record and click the Amend if you want to change an existing password. Select a record and click the Delete if you want to delete a Menu Option Password.

  2. Click Exit to close the Maintain Menu Option Passwords screen.
